- Mr. Kuria MuchiruBoard ChairmanMr. Muchiru holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) from the University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). He has had a career at PwC spanning 35 years which has given him wide ranging but also deep experience in Operations and the Public sector. This experience has been in Kenya, East Africa, sub-Sahara Africa, and the UK. Mr. Muchiru is the Chairman of Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) and three associated companies.Mr. Mohamed Said KaramaNon Executive DirectorMr. Karama holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial Manager. He has diversified consulting skills, comprehensive IT transformation experience and extensive knowledge of the public sector, financial services and healthcare industries.DR. PETER K. MUNGA, CBSNon-Executive DirectorDr. Munga holds an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration (Honoris Causa) from United Graduate College and Seminary. He is a Certified Public Secretary with vast experience in both public and private sector management. He also holds the Yara Prize for a Green Revolution in Africa Laureate 2009 award. He is a retired Deputy Secretary in the Government of Kenya and a former Chairman of Equity Bank Limited, former Chairman of National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK. He is an enterprising businessman and runs the Pioneer Group of Schools. He is also a director of HF Group Plc, the Chairman of Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd and Chairman of Fresho International Limited.Charles KimaniActing Group Managing DirectorCharles holds Masters in Finance from University of Nairobi, Bsc Accounting from USIU-Africa, and certifications in ICPAK and ICPSK. He has previously held senior roles including Group Head of Finance-Fina Bank, CFO- Old Mutual, Managing Director-Faulu Microfinance Bank and most recent before joining Britam he was the CFO & Ag Managing Director at Family Bank.MR. JIMNAH M. MBARU, EBSNon-Executive DirectorMr. Mbaru is the Chairman of Dyer and Blair Investment Bank Limited. He is also a director of several other financial and non-financial institutions including Nairobi Securities Exchange, a public quoted company on the NSE and Sanlam Africa Core Real Estate Investors Limited, listed on the Mauritius Stock Exchange. He is a former chairman of the African Stock Exchanges and is a former member of the National Economic and Social Council. Mr. Mbaru holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree both from the University of Nairobi. He is a fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management. Mr. Mbaru is the Chairman of Dyer and Blair Investment Bank Limited and a former chairman of the African Stock Exchanges and is a former member of the National Economic and Social Council. He is also a director of Occidental Insurance Limited, Nairobi Securities Exchange and Sanlam Africa Core Real Estate Investors Limited.MS. CAROLINE KIGENNon-Executive DirectorMs. Kigen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Degree and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Nairobi. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, K) and a Member and Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She has wide experience in accounting, financial management and corporate governance. She has been the CEO of ICPAK during which the Institute participated in policy making in Kenya and beyond. She has also worked as an accounting lecturer at both the University of Nairobi and Strathmore University and at PricewaterhouseCoopers in audit and assurance. Ms. Kigen has extensive Board experience having served in various boards and committees locally and internationally including at the International Federation Of Accountant’s (IFAC).MARIANNE LONERNon-Executive DirectorMs. Loner holds a Master in Business Administration from the Graduate school of Business Administration New York University. She has over thirty years’ experience in financial services and asset management. She also serves as a Director at Sura Asset Management S.A. He has more than 15 years Board experience in various local, regional and international companies in various sectors including; Agribusiness, Banking, Insurance, Micro finance, FMCG, Education, Pharmaceutical and International development.Ms. Josephine OssiyaNon-Executive DirectorMs. Ossiya holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Business Administration degree in international business. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK (ACCA) and a Member of Institute of Internal Auditors Inc US (IIA). She is a is a finance professional with over 20 years’ experience in financial services, strategic planning, audit and treasury. She has worked in various sectors including energy, oil & gas, pension, financial services, real estate and telecommunication. She has worked extensively within Africa, in Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, DR Congo, Zambia, and South Africa. She is also a board member of the Bank of Uganda.

Prior to this, he was working in a consulting capacity at Resilience Design and Research Labs, a specialized microinsurance advisory firm working in South Asia. She is a certified coach and an internationally certified trainer & facilitator. She joined Britam from Kenya Airways PLC, where she headed the people agenda and culture strategy. Prior to this, she was the HR Director at the Cooperative Bank of Kenya and has held different HR roles in various organizations. She has over 15 years’ experience in senior leadership management, and all areas of Human Capital.Zom ChizuraZom holds a BSc Engineering (Hons) and an MBA degree from the University of Zimbabwe as well as a Master of Engineering degree from Victoria University in Australia and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He joined Britam from Old Mutual Alternative Investments, where he headed Impact Investing out of Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual West Africa, based in Lagos, Nigeria. He spent 15 years with Old Mutual Zimbabwe for 15 years where he led the asset management business.
