How to Apply for a Policy Loan

Overview
Your eligible Life Insurance Policy is a valuable asset that allows you to access quick funding for your financial needs or emergencies through a Policy Loan. You can easily apply for this loan using our digital platforms.
Quick Steps to Apply for a Loan
Follow this simple procedure after logging in to your account:
- Access Account: Log in via the MyBritam App or the Britam Customer Portal.
- Select Policy: Navigate to "My Products" and choose the policy against which you want to apply for the loan.
- Start Application: Select the "Apply Loan" tab/option.
- Input Amount: You will see your maximum Loan Limit. Input the specific loan amount you wish to apply for.
- Choose Payout Channel: Select your preferred method for receiving the funds:
- Bank Transfer
- Mobile Money (e.g., M-Pesa)
- Verify & Confirm: Review the application and payment details, then click Next. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered phone number for verification.
- Submit Request: Enter the OTP, click Submit, and your policy loan application will be successfully submitted for processing.
Note: The loan amount is subject to the terms and conditions of your policy and the funds will be disbursed to your selected channel upon approval.
